Eligibility for prospective students:
As a prerequisite to enrolling , the Arise Health Training Institute shall require ONE of the following:
(1) Graduation from a public, private, or home high school – AHTI must obtain High School Transcripts. We DO NOT accept High School Diplomas
(2) A certificate of high school equivalency such as a General Educational Development (GED) Certification- AHTI must obtain the certificate of high school equivalency.
(3) Graduation from a community college or university – AHTI must obtain the community college or university transcript.
(4) If international student, Completion of secondary education that is equivalent to high school education in the United States – AHTI must obtain the educational diploma or transcript, translated in English.
(5) If unable to get transcripts ( For persons who went to school in the United States of America only): AHTI must obtain the student’s signed, notarized attestation of graduation from a public, private, or home high school, receipt of a certificate of high school equivalency, graduation from a community college or university, or completion of secondary education equivalent to high school education in the United States – The student must provide AHTI with written evidence of the inability to obtain a copy and the school must maintain a copy of the student’s signed, notarized attestation.
(6) For persons at least 18 years old who did not graduate from a public, private, or state home high school, obtain a certificate of high school equivalency, graduate from a community college or university, or complete secondary education equivalent to high school education in the United States; AHTI will administer an Ability to Benefit (ATB) test approved by the Education Department. This tests will be conducted starting January 2024. At present, you will not be able to apply for the entry exam until January 2024.
Prospective students must PASS a background check prior to the start of course. A criminal record does not necessarily disqualify you from the Nurse Aide 1 program but may interfere with clinical experience placement and future job opportunities.
AHTI will work with students who have a criminal record on a case by case basis.
AHTI will also need a copy of a valid picture ID and valid social security card (no work only permits) must be submitted.
Prospective students are required to have a negative 2-step TB skin test within the last 6 months or provide a negative chest x-ray. TB Blood screen (T-spot) test result is also acceptable.
Prospective students should also provide proof of COVID vaccine and boosters or waiver /exemption. You must be fully vacinnated and up to date with your COVID vaccines prior to clinical or submit a waiver.H
