At Arise Health Training Institute (AHTI), we are committed to provide you with a Phlebotomy training that is a hands-on. We want to ensure that you are equipped and ready in joining an allied health career. Our Phlebotomy Technician Program is your ticket to a rewarding career in healthcare. You’ll learn everything from medical lingo to the safe and correct way of drawing blood. Not just that, you’ll also master how to collect various other specimens.

Course Duration

4 weeks

Classes

Classroom and Labs (3 weeks): Monday through Friday from 5pm to 10pm
Clinicals (1 weeks): Day shift at acute care hospital, Clinics and allied health care setting.

Arise Health Training Institute
(AHTI), offers a 115-hour Phlebotomy program. 

Phlebotomy graduates will be eligible to take the Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) exam offered by the National Health career Association (NHA).

Eligibility requirements for the CPT credentials are solely determined by NHA, and are subject to change at any time. NHA are independent organizations. AHTI does not gurantee certification /registry exam eligibility.

Eligibility for prospective students:

Must have proof of a High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent.

Must be 18 years of age

Must have CPR

If one does not have a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent , the can must Pass the Wonderlick Scholastic Level Exam offered by AHTI. 

 

Prospective students must PASS a background check prior to the start of course. A criminal record does not necessarily disqualify you from the Nurse Aide II program but may interfere with clinical experience placement and future job opportunities. 

AHTI will work with students who have a criminal record on a case by case basis.

 

Prospective students are required to have a negative 2-step TB skin test within the last 6 months or provide a negative chest x-ray. Immunizations are also required Measles, Mumps and Rebella (MMR), Varicella, PPD-TB, Hepatitis Series, Tdap and Flu.  

 

Prospective students must be physically able to perform the duties of the Nursing Assistant. These duties include and are not limited to: Lifting, moving and transporting of patients. 

Phlebotomy Program

If you wish to start the Phlebotomy program, we must receive the application together with the application fee ($80 NON-REFUNDABLE), by the last date of Class Registration. You cannot start the program until you have been admitted as a student, so it is important that you adhere to this timescale.

Enrollment Periods: Enrollment occurs on an ongoing basis, but notice is needed at least two weeks prior to a course’s start date.
